PBT ties up with Pokerstars.com

Recently, PBT tied up with Pokerstars.com to run satellites for their APPT event on August 24, which has a buy-in of $2,500 and I have heard that team Pokerstars will be there including Hachem, Raymer, Moneymaker (k lang . .) and Daniel Negreanu (newest member of team pokerstars)

Our satellites for the APPT is two tiered (for now) where our weekly wednesdays (9pm start) and saturdays (3pm start) will be converted into level 1 satellites with buy-ins of Php 1,500 + 300 entry fee for our level 2 satellite on Saturday, August 18, 2007 with the buy-in and entry fee of Php 10,000+2,000.

In the level 1 satellite, players will have the option of 1 rebuy (Php 1,500) and 1 add-on (Php 1,500) OR 2 rebuys and no more add-on and for every 10 entries, rebuys and add-ons, PBT will award a seat in the level 2 satellite. So if there are 30 entries, rebuys and add-ons we'll award 3 seats to the level 2 satellite to the top three players for that tournament. Money left over will be awarded as cash prizes and of course the Non-cashable chips will be there.

In the level 2 satellite, players will have an optional add-on (3,000) and we'll try to give as many seats to the APPT event as we can. Pokerstars.com has signified that they will augment the prize pool of this tournament with extra seats, increasing the number of seats to be won. Again, if there is money left over, we'll award it as cash prizes.

Saturday, June 9, 2007, Le Salon Ballroom, Hyatt Manila Hotel and Casino, 2pm registration, 3pm start. Ticket price - Php 12,000 per team of four players which include, buy-in, entry fees, food, drinks as well as four tickets to a screening of Ocean's 13 at the Powerplant Cinemas (while supplies last).

Coinciding with the release of the movie, Ocean's 13, PBT, Hyatt Manila Hotel and Casino, Powerplant Cinemas, Solar Sports, Magic 89.9 and Holy Kettle Corn bring you "The PBT Poker Crew Challenge" a team Hold'em event where you and three of your friends play different tournament formats all at the same time.

Formats include

- Freeze out

- Short Stack

- Bounty (Php 500 bounties to be paid)

- Add-on/Rebuy (Add-on and rebuys at Php 1,000 and to be put into the prize pool)

With all four tournaments having their own prize pool, teams will vie for the winners' share of the respective prize pools, Non-Cashable Chips (NCC) and other prizes from event sponsors. A separate prize pool, 40,000 in NCC and the Four Aces Trophy will be awarded to the team which accumulates the most points during the tournaments. Points are awarded as such:

Participated - 1 point, 9th place - 2 points, 8th place - 3 points, 7th place - 4 points, 6th place - 5 points, 5th place - 6 points, 4th place - 7 points, 3rd place - 8 points, 2nd place - 10 points, 1st place - 12 points.

In case there is a tie, teams will choose three representatives and will play heads up with the team winning two out of three matches being declared the winner. This will be the first time this format will be played here at Casino Filipino and we are excited.

Ticket price - Php 5,000 per team which include, buy-in, entry fees, food, drinks as well as two tickets to a screening of Lucky You at the Powerplant Cinemas.

Coinciding with the release of the new Hold'em movie Lucky You, PBT, Smart, Hyatt Manila Hotel and Casino, Powerplant Cinemas, Solar Sports, Magic 89.9 and Holy Kettle Corn bring you "Two of a Kind" a doubles Hold'em event where you and a partner alternate play a tournament, exchanging places every other level. Teams have two "ask your partner" chips to use during the tournament to have a chance to decide on crucial decisions with your partner. Each team have the option for either one rebuy and one add-on OR two rebuys and no add-ons.

Prizes include Cash, Non Cashable Chips and other prizes from event sponsors. This will be the first time this format will be played here at Casino Filipino and we are excited.
